Welcome To The Radcliffe Sword Club Website (South Nottingham)

This site is designed to provide information for beginners and practiced fencers alike.

Our first beginners course started in January 2005 and the club was formed soon after.

We fence in a large well lit salle, with at least four electric pistes each week plus room for more. There are showers / changing rooms, a cafeteria serving hot food and of course the all important bar to meet up afterwards.

We are a three-weapon club with opportunities to train and compete in foil, sabre and epee. Beginners' Courses concentrate on foil and there are short introductory courses in sabre and epee for members once a year.

At club level there is a yearly membership fee of £30.00 and a monthly training fee of £20.00 (concessions £15.00). There is a guest fee of £5.00 (concessions £4.00) per session. Guests must be individual members of the BFA for individual insurance purposes. These fees cover hall costs etc.

All joining fencers above beginners' level are required to affiliate with the British Fencing Association. Fees and details of benefits can be viewed by clicking here

IMPORTANT DATES

The next beginners' course will run from Weds 9th September to 14th October 2009.

The next Junior Beginners' course will run from Mon 14th September to 9th November 09.
